R. N. KASTURY did his M.Sc. ELECTRICAL MACHINE DESIGN from IT- BHU (formerly BENCO- Banaras Hindu University) in 1961. Later on he did a Management course at Jamnalal Bajaj Institue , BOMBAY.

He subsequently joined CROMPTON PARKINSON LTD, INDIA, Which later became CROMPTON GREAVES LTD. During his 20 years stint at CROMPTON GREAVES he worked in Product Design , R & D, Development , Manufacturing , Market research , Project Management and General Management Functions . The products covered were : CEILING FANS, FRACTIONAL HP MOTORS, LARGE LT AND HT MOTORS, ALTERNATORS ETC.

He had worked along with MR.L.GREENWOOD at HAWKER SIDDLEY ELECTRIC MOTORS in UK to Design a range of Electric Motors- LT AND HT (3.3 AND 6.6 KV) - IN THE 315 TO 500 METRIC FRAMES.

Since 1980, he has been working as an advisor / consultant / trainer for the electrical machinery manufacturers in various segments in india. He has developed totally interactive software to design motor stampings and data for Single phase , Three phase and PMDC motors.

During the last 20 years as an independent industry consultant/ trainer he has contributed to development of a number of new design motors. Design of three phase and single phase motor stampings (including high efficiency motors ) has been the main activity.

His other activities include : Management Training, Quality Planning, ISO 9000 documentation,FMEA, Value Engineering, Application Engineering, MIS related System Implementation, Techno Economic Project Reports, Financial Assessments of New Projects, Energy Savings in large complexes,International vendor search etc.

Along with his associates, he can offer Marketing services in INDIA (for Technical software, Electrical Products, Pumping Systems) , Tool design and manufacturing, Software development using windows or other platforms, Modern Automatic Motor Testing Systems, Valuation of Industrial Assets ETC.
